Her new blog on NPR is pretty interesting. She’s obviously got some issues with the cuteness and “preciousness” regarding several of the indie shows/acts lately. We’re kind of feelin’ that over here.
This article relates to ’90s Revival for some reason to me, because (not only am I trying to get past that horrid picture below) I met a guy at a party the other night and, of course we ended up chatting about music lately; It was more or less how “moshing” and energy at shows today are immediately frowned upon as a “hateful” thing. However, it seemed back in the day, like ‘90-’94 or so, the crowd was indeed more physical and lively, but it was all in good taste. It was a mutual love thing.
But I guess…as they say, nobody move, nobody get hurt. Scary, huh?
